The Avant-Garde Studies group is a forum for discussing the historical avant-garde (Futurism, Dada, Surrealism, etc.) and other forms of experimentation in 19th and 20th-century literature and art.
Thi summer semester, We have the following sessions planned:
- 22 April 2025: Surrealist Manifestoes
- 20 May 2025: Aldo Palazzeschi: Pains and Pleasures of Futurism
- 24 June 2025: Grids: Bomberg to Bauhaus
- 14 July 2025: Kurt Schwitters, Ursonate
All meetings take place from 7-8.30 pm in Room 104 at the Centre for British Studies, HU Berlin, Mohrenstr. 60, 10117 Berlin.
