The mADS Reading Group is an online forum for discussing the Literatures of modernism, Aestheticism and Decadence. The following dates and topics are scheduled for the Summer Term:
- 23 April 2025: A. E. Housman: Poems from A Shropshire Lad
- 15 May 2025: Whitechapel Poets: Isaac Rosenberg and John Rodker
- 25 June 2025: Reading Modernisms at Shakespeare and Company
- 17 July 2025: Some 1890s poems by Arthur Symons
All meetings take place online via zoom, from 7-8 pm (Berlin time). The link and materials for each session will be circulated one week in advance through our mailing list. Each session begins with a brief, informal introduction to the topic before the meeting is opened up to general discussion.
