New Teaching resource Added: Reading Kew Gardens with a Carving tool

This Week, I led two lino printing workshops at the university of Münster’s Book Studio.

We Used the Hogarth Press’s two editions of Virginia Woolf’s short story Kew Gardens, illustrated by Vanessa Bell, as a starting point for thinking about the relationship of text and image in book illustration.

The workshop participants were then invited to create their own artistic response to a passage from Kew Gardens, using the medium of lino print.

A Workshop Guide, including a list of required materials and links to the reading, is available in my Teaching Resources Section.
