I have uploaded a set of instructions for making a paper-covered pamphlet to the teaching resources section of the website.
I created this hands-on Task as part of my Undergraduate course on the Hogarth Press, with the aim of giving students a practical understanding of the Production processes involved in modernist small press publishing.
Specifically, the Instructions provide a Guide for binding a set of printed sheets of Hope Mirrlees’s Paris in a paper cover to create an Approximation of the Hogarth Press edition of the poem.
The Required Materials are listed in the instructions. You will also need to provide the students with printed sheets of Paris. A downloadable Facsimile of the poem is available here.
